Physical activity in children with congenital heart disease

Short description
This project has two part. The first part is a national observation study of physical activity, sports and quality of life in children 8-12 years and adolescents 13-18 years with congenital heart disease of different severities compared to matched controls. The second part is an intervention study in children 10-12 years with moderate and severe congenital heart disease to strengthen motivation, self-efficacy and attitude with football-based training and swim- and leg strength training, respectively, to promote physical activity and sports. The project is performed in collaboration with Queen Silvia Children´s Hospital at the Sahlgrenska University Hospital, IFK Göteborg and IF Elfsborg.
