Studentfirman at the Department of Psychology carries out small consultancy assignments free of charge. Examples of assignments can be help with group development, work environment mapping or evaluations of various projects. The consultants who carry out the assignments are students who are studying specialisation in work- and organisational psychology during their final year of the psychology programme.
Studentfirman was originally established with the aim of achieving a better application of theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during the programme.
Studentfirman has been in operation for more than 30 years and the experience is very positive. Students gain valuable practical knowledge and clients are helped with organisational challenges.
The assignments
We welcome different types of assignments from organisations and companies. Examples of suitable assignments are:
- Group development, management team development, teambuilding, group- and collaboration training
- Work environment surveys, climate profiles
- Participation in change- and development initiatives
- Evaluation of various projects
- Competence development initiatives at management- and employee level
If we receive too many assignments, we reserve the right to sort them out.
The consultants
We try to select students who have the prerequisites to cope with each assignment in a good way. Most students have experience of previous professional activities and the average age is about 30 years.
All students who act as consultants are part of a supervision group that meets once a week. The supervisors are teachers, all of whom are qualified psychologists and who also work as consultants.
Costs
No remuneration is charged for the assignment carried out. However, compensation will be paid for any costs for travel, tests, questionnaires, postage, etc., which are then primarily settled directly with the student consultant.
Instruction
We need a brief written description of the assignment, including its purpose, general information about the workplace, number of people involved, etc.
