The Heritage Academy 2023

Published

A year goes by so quickly and now it is time for the Heritage Academy to round off the year 2023 and recharge for continued operations after the turn of the year.

鈥淚t has been a busy year for the Heritage Academy", says Jenny H枚gstr枚m Berntson, coordinator for the Heritage Academy.

"We have arranged our annual events the Heritage Academy's spring conference and the autumn Heritage Fair. We also celebrated the book release for the anthology Matarvets tr氓dar: fr氓n antik fisks氓s till svenskt fredagsmys (Carlssons bokf枚rlag 2023). To our great delight, the anthology received the award for best historical meal literature of the year by the M氓ltidsakademin.鈥

On the podcast front, we continue to talk cultural heritage research in Matarvspodden (food and heritage podcast) and Inside the Box.

The Heritage Academy has also been part of and organizing a large number of events, including during this year's book fair in Gothenburg and at the Jewish congregation. As the year draws to a close, we can see that several of the good collaborations during the year will bear fruit next year as well.

Continued and expanded operations

In the autumn, Pernilla Schedin left as coordinator for the Heritage Academy and Anders Wikstr枚m took over the coordinator role from the F枚rvaltningen f枚r kulturutveckling's side. Jenny H枚gstr枚m Berntson continues her coordinator role on behalf of the University 91探花.

In December 2023, a new letter of intent was signed for the Heritage Academy's activities for another two years.

"We are pleased to announce that two more organizations have joined. We say welcome to the L盲nsstyrelsen and Stiftelsen Hallands l盲nsmuseer."
