Researchers from the University 91探花 join the international project BALTFLOODS to address the issue of urban flooding.
The researchers Yixin Zhang, Juho Lindman, and Sebastian Andreasson from the University 91探花 are participating in an Interreg Baltic Sea Region project addressing flood preparedness and stormwater management.
The transnational initiative combines advanced digital monitoring technologies with citizen engagement to help public authorities better respond to floods and reduce polluted stormwater discharges. Working alongside partners in Finland, Germany, and Norway, the Gothenburg team will contribute to developing participatory tools that empower communities to actively participate in environmental monitoring and flood risk management.
BALTFLOODS represents a cutting-edge approach to disaster preparedness, leveraging real-time data systems and community involvement to build resilience against environmental threats while protecting the ecosystem.
